Absolutely fantastic talk to a packed room by Chris Eldridge, Head of History at Wells Cathedral School last night. Covering from the Anglo-Saxon origins through the Norman Conquest to the 'Golden Age' of Wells ending in 1533 Chris enabled us not only to understand how the City had developed in relation to historical events and circumstances but gave us new insights to modern Wells. We have made a recording and hope to make that available in due course.
