Car Washes The application for the one at Palace Farm has been approved as has one at the Cold Store (2018/0440)………….as have ones at Tesco and beside the Cold Store.No excuse for dirty cars now! Pubs etc. An application has been submitted for renovation of The Mermaid and provision of 8 “boutique” letting rooms upstairs. (2018/1650 & 1718).The latter application for development of the outbuildings has been withdrawn.

The appeal against refusal (3184981) was dismissed, mainly on the ground that the applicants had failed to carry out an adequate search for a suitable site. Since then an application (2018/2647) has been submitted with a site in the south east corner of the petrol station between the car wash and the boundary with houses on Bath Road and Manning Close.The good news is that the owners of Budgens have withdrawn their consent to use their land as the site for the proposed mast.A
