Art 360 - 2018

Art 360, organised by the Civic Society, is now an annual summer attraction and the society's chair, Chris Winter, thanked the Bishop’s Palace for hosting this year’s event. Chris also said: “Art is part of the culture of Wells, but this year's event was more about having fun.

This year's event was held on Saturday 14th July, with no charge for entering or for the materials.

Artists young and old had fun and showed off their skills at the Bishop’s Palace in Wells on the Saturday afternoon.

They ranged from 10 months old to pensioners and professional artists but most were children.

Also supported at this event was the ambitious Wells in Mosaic project, and we were delighted to welcome their artist Ruth Ames-White to demonstrate her skills.”

The mosaic will be six metres in diameter and act as a tourist guide as well as a tourist attraction. It will be placed on the city’s Recreation Ground. For more information visit the wellsinmosaic.org website.
